An initial environmental review is offered to property owners and agents to determine if Florida Scrub Jays are observed in addition to other endangered species on the specified property or in the vicinity.

This survey is conducted in order to provide interested parties a pre-survey analysis based on present observations and data. The "initial environmental review" completed is a one page report that would be beneficial as a "comfort letter" to sellers and buyers of vacant land in Scrub Jay designated properties requiring an eventual full official Scrub Jay Survey. In this way, interested parties would have a preliminary environmental study already in hand to present to a buyer before a full Florida Scrub Jay Survey is called for which is necessary for an a potential Scrub Jay release. The fee for this review will be credited towards the required complete Florida Scrub Jay survey when performed. The credits generated by the Initial Environmental Review can be transferred from seller to buyer.

Please note: This Initial Environmental Review is NOT a document to be used as an instrument to obtain an official Environmental release from the agencies. This is not a Florida Scrub Jay survey. It is only used as a pre-survey report which would most likely give a preview of the result of an official Florida Scrub Jay Survey which follows federal protocol.
