Join the Great Backyard Bird Count! Information from the Cornell Lab of O can be found here:

"Each February, for four days, the world comes together for the love of birds. Over these four days we invite people to spend time in their favorite places watching and counting as many birds as they can find and reporting them to us. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations." (Cornell Lab of O)

Get those bird counts in! And especially if you live in an area with my favorite: The Florida Scrub-Jay! Some birds I've logged this weekend include: Cattle Egrets, Blue Jays, Red Bellied Woodpeckers, Great Blue Herons, Anhingas, Wood Storks, Grackles, House Finches, Mourning Doves, Egyptian Geese, and more! Enjoy!

One great way to learn about birds from home is to enjoy bird webcams. Cornell University's lab of ornithology has some great webcams so thats one place to get started. For example, they have a nest of horned owls that will hatch an egg at any moment! Check it out!

I can't wait to catch a glimpse of the baby!
